So the latest Climate Camp begins today in London! Hopefully those of you planning on attending have checked all the police related info posted at
Legal Info » Camp for Climate Action and have printed off the 'bust cards'.
I hope the Met do stick to their plans of very peaceful 'community policing'.
And please remember, they will be watching you as you arrive - mind you, if you have checked out the
Fit watch you would already know who they are, and what they look like!
If you know who some of these 'officers' are, please let the fitwatch group know more details!
Peace and Love - be peaceful!

The Western World's plans for a green recovery just took a very bad turn for the worst!
China (well Mongolia actually) has a real monopoly on the world's supply of 'Rare Earth' metals. Used to be a few mines outside China, but China managed to dump them onto the markets, and dropped the prices below what it actually costs to dig this stuff up.
Now they are about to shutdown exports to the rest of the world.
World faces hi-tech crunch as China eyes ban on rare metal exportsThe biggest losers? Toyota and Honda. They NEED this stuff for the hybrids they produce. Yet another nail in the coffin of the Western World's prosperity.
And after them? Well - things like mobile phones, plasma TV's, Blackberries, and air filters. Watch the world shudder on this news.
Oil will be over $100/barrel within 6 months. More likely 3 months. And with the rise the cost of EVERYTHING will rise accordingly. Deflation? not this year.

Are we at all surprised by this news?
Bernanke to Be Nominated for Second Fed Term by Obama“The president believes that Bernanke has provided extraordinary leadership during the most difficult financial crisis we’ve faced since the Great Depression,” Axelrod said. “As we build our economy that leadership is still needed.”
Of course they failed to mention, The Fed was a major cause of this bubble, and Bernanke's handling of it entirely predictable by anyone with half a brain cell left. Oh, just never mind..
The cycle continues... downward.

Equality for women has taken an entirely new twist!
"There is a growing number of women who hold executive roles," said Gen Gaetano Maruccia, commander of the Carabinieri paramilitary police in the Naples area.
"They are either widows or wives of husbands who have been put in prison. They hold the reins. They're very good at mapping out strategy, even sharper (than the men)."

Here's an interesting page on the Federal Reserve's website... The list of banks and lenders on the edge? Some of the actions are minor (Bank Hapolim, for instance, appears to be a bit loose with it's anti money-laundering practices, for instance); but recent agreements with the likes of CIT and Imperial Capital indicate there is much trouble in the banks!
